Heckler & Koch MP7
Heckler & Koch MP7 employs a short-stroke piston gas system similar to that found on H&K’s G36 and HK416.
The bullet is almost entirely constructed of hardened steel penetrator rather than softer copper or lead, making it distinctive among submachine gun ammo.
The MP7 pistol grip can accommodate a regular 20-, 30-, or 40-round box magazine (the 20-round magazine is similar to a 15-round 919mm magazine.
while the 40-round magazine is comparable to a 30-round 919mm magazine).
It has a folding front handle and an extended stock (MP7 and MP7A1 variations, the MP7A2 does not), and it may be shot one-handed or two-handed.
Copper-plate solid steel (DM11), alloy-plated steel jacket (DM21), or copper-alloy-jackete lead core projectiles are used in specially designe armor piercing (AP) high-velocity rounds
At 200 meters, the NATO CRISAT target (20 layers of Kevlar with 1.6 mm titanium backing) is penetrate by the DM11 bullet.
The round’s tiny diameter allows for increased penetration and great capacity in a relatively small magazine.
The MP7 includes a full-length, top-mounted Picatinny rail with folding fore and rear iron sights as standard.
The sights resemble Patridge style open sights when folded flat.
Have aperture sights when folded up. By releasing a single screw and taking the sights off, they readily removed.
It mount commercial optical sights (telescopic and red dot sights), laser aiming modules (LAM), and tactical flashlights on additional rails on the sides of the barrel.
